Some Products!

So if anyone knows me they know that I am an extreme product junky, I am always looking for the next best thing on the market.  In doing so I've come across many products that I absolutely love, and some that just don't live up to their reputation so right now I'm going to go through a couple of them.

1. "They're real"- mascara by Benefit Cosmetics ($22) which I usually buy at Sephora.
So I want to start of with this product because it is one of the most amazing mascaras I have ever used.  I am always being asked about my eye lashes, coincidentally a lot of people ask if I have fake eye lashes on, so the purpose of this mascara definitely lives up to it's name; they're supposed to look fake!  I love this mascara due to the wand that comes with it.  The bristles on the wand allow for your eyelashes to be seperated and not clumped together, which is a huge problem I always face.  The wand also has small bristles on the end which allows you to get some of the eyelashes on your eye which are usually stubborn and hard to get, and also helps with the smaller bottom lashes.  All I can say is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara!  Here's the steps I take to ensure that I have luscious lashes:
1. Take an eyelash curler, and get as close to the root as you can.  Clamp for about 5 seconds an release. You should notice a significant curl in your lashes.
2.  Apply a coat to each set of eye lashes using the bristles on the top of the wand to seperate the lashes even more.  Repeat this step one more time, then let your lashes dry.
3. When lashes feel completely dry use the eye lash curler again as close to your roots as possible.  Clamp down for about 5 seconds and your eyelashes so look insanely huge and fake.
4. Enjoy amazingly beautiful eye lashes

2. "Oooh La Lift"- by Benefit cosmetics ($22)
Do you ever find that you have bags under your eyes? Dark circles"  Your eyes are just looking a little dull and life less?  This is one amazing product that I swear by.  It is considered a concealer, but it comes in a white/pink color, so I would only recommend using it under your eyes.  It claims to give you brighter eyes and that it gives you "an eyelift".  I wouldn't go so far as to say it gives you an "eye lift" but it certainly does make your eyes look brighter and more lively.  To use:
1. Apply 3 small dots underneath your eyes
2. Pat/Dab the concealer everywhere underneath your eyes, applying more if necessary
3. Enjoy bright, more vibrant, younger looking eyes!
For a little extra boost, keep the tube in the fridge to keep it cool, allowing the formula to soothe your under eyes a little bit more!

3. "Magic Ink" jet black liquid eyeliner- by Benefit cosmetics ($20)
So one of my most basic looks that I always go for is to line my top eye lid with liquid eye liner to give your eyes a dramatic POP!  Clearly Benefit is a line of makeup that I really do like, but this product is one that I wouldn't recommend for anyone.  When I do this look, I want the line to look very neat.  This product comes out pretty messy, and tends to smudge ALOT.  It also seems to take an extremely long time to dry.  There are times where I've been done with my make up for about 15 minutes, and I go to do the final eye lash curl on my eyelashes, and find that after I've curled the eyelashes, my eyeliner has either come off or is smudged so bad that it's hard to repair since my eye makeup is already done.  It seems to take WAY too long to dry.   The only pro I see with this product is that it is one of the blackest colors I've ever used, but other than that I would stay away from this product.

So that was just a couple of the products I have tried and either love and swear by them, or think it's time for a change.  I know that Benefit is a little costly but some of the products are SOOOO worth the extra money!  I hope this post helps anyone who is looking to try some new products, and please feel free to ask any questions about the products :)
