All Eyes on ME

Achieving perfect lashes is something that is on the top of my make up musts.  I was blessed with extremely long lashes, but still struggle like every other woman trying to attain beautiful, clump free, voluminous lashes.  Here are some of my favorite mascaras and tricks that I use to prevent clumps and promote long, full lashes

They’re Real! Mascara by Benefit Cosmetics
This is one of my all time favorite mascara ever created.  This mascara is jet black and lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts, and seperates lashes leaving them clump free.  It is so amazing due in most part to its amazing brush that is specially designed to maximize the performance of the mascara.  The staggered bristles on the wand help to grab the lash right at the root, helping to boost the volume and length of your lashes while the tip of the wand equipped with smaller bristles help to lift and define even the smallest of lashes.  This mascara is amazing, and is demonstrated in the video below (click link They're Real! Mascara).  So skip the false lashes and show off your amazing real lashes.  Below is a picture (not of me) that truly shows the amazing results of this mascara.  You can notice that lashes look bold and defined without being clumpy or flaky.  Don't believe me?  Google the reviews on this stuff, and you won't find one bad word about it!

Tarte MultiplEYE Clinically-Proven Natural Lash Enhancing Primer- This is a one of a kind lash primer that is CLINICALLY proven to immediately increase the look of lash volume “by 739%” while increasing the appearance of lash length with regular use.  I just bought this stuff on black Friday in a small pack and let me tell you this stuff is the bomb.com.  I layer it underneath my mascara for ultimate va va voom lashes.  This stuff helps to prep your lashes so they are ready to maintain the mascara you put on afterwards.  The proper way to apply this is to use it lightly on the tips of your eyelashes because if you use too much of it and then put your mascara on over it you are at risk for having clumpy looking lashes. So remember use it lightly on the tips of your eyelashes!  Also the formula seems to dry a little quicker than desired on lashes so make sure you apply your mascara right after you use this primer.  I absolutely love this stuff and will continue to buy it after this tube is done!
Fake eyelashes- I am a huge fan of false eyelashes because of how dramatic they can make any eyes look. Your eyelashes literally stand out and look amazing in pictures which I love!  A brand that I'm into is Ardell that you can find at any CVS or Walgreens.  What I don’t love is the glue that comes with them.   The second you get that glue, throw it out and opt for Duo Lash adhesive which comes in clear and dark.  I really have no preference for the color of the glue, but own both just in case.  The next step is to decide through the many different choices, which ones work best for you.  Here are some of the most popular lashes they have that you should try:

110 Demi Black – these are very natural looking lashes.  Short lashes and longer lashes combine together to help you have more natural, fuller looking lashes.  These are extremely discreet and light weight on your eyes.  I love these lashes because they really accentuate your eyes and make them pop.  With these puppies on your eyes are the center of attention

101 Demi Black- these lashes should be reserved for a night out on the town.  These are bold and truly make a statement when on your eyes.  They make your lashes look miles long, without the drag queen effect.  These are my go to for a night out on the town but aren’t my absolute favorites because on my eyes they appear a tad too dramatic.

Demi Whispies Black- these are another version of eyelashes that are more natural looking.  The lashes on this aren’t in a straight line, but rather they look kind of intertwined with each other, giving your eyelashes insane volume.  They look natural while at the same time adding a little glamour to your look.  A must for a night out!

Lash Accents – these lashes are AWESOME.  Unlike most fake eyelashes these are meant just for the corners of your eyes, where you truly want some volume.  These are much easier to apply because they are smaller, and you don’t feel them as much on your eyes which is a plus!

How to Apply Fake Lashes – First you want to make sure that the lashes will fit correctly on your eye, so before putting glue on them hold them up to your lash line and see if they need to be cut or not.  Next curl your eyelashes and apply a light coat of mascara so as to build a sort of foundation for the lashes (This part is crucial because it is way harder applying them on bare lashes)  After figuring that out get familiar with the lashes and where you will need to put the glue.  Next take a pair of tweezers and hold the lashes in them, then squeeze the tiniest amount of glue out dragging it the length of the lash.   Gently place the false lashes on top of your own lashes, making sure that the false lashes are as close to your lash line as possible.  Use a Q-tip to push the lashes down more if they seem to be too far up.  Let them dry for about a minute then curl your own lashes and the false lashes together to make them blend better.  Then use an eyelash comb and mascara and apply to lashes as desired.  Finally enjoy bold, beautiful lashes!

Tweezerman Folding Eyelash Comb – a good eyelash comb is the key to achieving clump free eyelashes.  When choosing an eyelash comb make sure you choose one that is of high quality, has metal bristles and has a cover.  Metal teeth on a comb are far superior to plastic ones because the metal bristles are small and sharp enough, allowing you to pick at and really comb through your lashes.  My favorite is Tweezerman  because it is of high quality and really works to help you achieve clump free lashes!  If you are a member of Ruelala Tweezerman will be an item on their website this week so make sure to check it out!
