Nothing makes your make up pop more than having bright eyes. Your eyes are the focal point of your face, so accentuating them in the correct way is a must! I have brown eyes so they don't necessarily POP like blue eyes do, but I don't let that hold me back. Here are some of my favorite products to help my eyes stand out and POP!
1. Eye Bright - by Benefit Cosmetics
This is one of my ALL time favorite products ever due to the fact that it is so versatile, and can be used in so many different situations. What it is a stick that looks like an eyeshadow. It has a pink tint to it and its main purpose is to function as a concealer or a shadow base, and it works GREAT for both. The name of it says it all, it literally helps to make your eyes look brighter. To achieve that bright eyed look I usually start with this product, and here are the steps I take:
1. Take pencil and line your top lashes. Blend formula in
2. Next apply to the inner corners of your eye, and also make a v shape in the corner of your eye, but not in the eye itself, more like on your nose. Blend in. You should notice a much brighter appearance in your eyes already.
3. Apply to your bottom lashes (a must) and under neath your eye (if necessary) and blend it in. The lightness of your bottom lashes compared to the dark, boldness of your top lashes make for a great combination together
4. For even more brightness apply this right underneath your eye brows, lightly, and blend
This stick is amazing and literally can be used to brighten up any problem area you have. Try it out and see what you like. Like me, you will never again leave the house without your Eye Bright on!
Eye Bright = $20
2. Tarte MultiplEYE Lash Enhancing Liquid Liner
So a staple in my makeup routine is liquid eye liner. It is such an amazing product and with a little practice you can perfect the way you like your eye liner to look. It's literally like an art form, and this is the best one for the task. This liquid eyeliner comes in pen form, which I love because it is way less messy then one that comes with separate pieces. I am loving this specific liquid liner because it allows you to use it with such precision. You can easily make a thin line for right above your lashes, or a thick line for more defined, bold eyes. Unlike other liquid eye liners I have used, this one is not messy at all, it comes out so neat and precise which is so important if you are lining your top eye lid, which might already have eye shadow on it. It is also water proof and budge proof which is so important because when liquid eye liner is wandering around your eye, it most definitely ends up in places where it is NOT wanted. Here's the steps I take to achieve a perfect liquid eye liner look:
1. Shake the pen to ensure that the liquid eye liner will come out as dark as possible.
2. Take the pen and first draw a small line as close to your eye lashes as possible.
3. Extend the line as far as you want to the end of your eye. I like to extend mine past my eye, to make a little wing, to give eyes that cat look. (This is my go to look)
3. Bring eyeliner down to the crease of your eye as much as you would like. I only like to extend it as far as my eye lashes go because the look that I go for is not a dramatic eye liner look, but rather just a line that will enhance my eyelashes and make them look bold, and stand out
4. I only put the liner on my top eye lid, because with just that line on the top, your eyes and eyelashes truly stand out and look amazing! Paired with the Eye Bright Pencil, this combination is sure to make your eyes pop! The contrast between the dark top lashes and the light bottom lashes is AMAZING and makes even the brownest eyes stand out and look unreal
Tarte MultiplEYE Lash Enhancing Liquid Liner = $22 and is sold at Sephora
3. High Beam - by Benefit Cosmetics
If I want to take an extra step in creating bright, stand out eyes, this is my little secret. It is a highlighter with a pearly, pink hue to it that has a dewy finish to it. One problem I have found with some highlighters is that there is too much sparkle to it, or you can see it blended into your skin, but not this one. The creamy formula blends beautifully into your skin. Use it on your check bones for a fresh dewey look, or anywhere you wish to have a little glow. For the look that I am trying to achieve I use this formula and dab just a little bit in the inner corners of my eyes, and blend. What it does is really draw attention to your eyes, and helps them to GLOW. This product is absolutely amazing, and you will not be disappointed with this product
High Beam = $26
Finish this look off by using "They're Real" Benefit mascara, and enjoy a fresh, bright look. I love this look because it barely looks like your wearing makeup. Hope you enjoyed this post :) Here's what I look like with this look!
