Product Reviews!

One major aspect I want this blog to have is reviews and feedbacks from the readers!  I am very happy to announce that my good friend Brittany went on a haul and bought some great products that I have recommended and she would like to share her amazing experiences with these products.  If you weren't sure about buying a product before, maybe now you will be convinced!  Just as a reference Brittany has blonde hair, light to medium skin, light eyes and is in her 20's.

Listerine Whitening Pre Brush Mouthwash - I literally thought this was a joke the first time i used it. How could my teeth instantly be THAT white. I love this mouthwash. I have never done any kind of whitening besides white strips years ago and once I started using this mouthwash people were commenting on how white my teeth were. This is a serious necessity and part of my everyday brushing rituals.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion - This is a great moisturizer. I love it in the summer but I find that once my face is over exposed to the cold air it is very dry and I need a bit of a heavier moisturizer. This is a thin moisturizer that dries without leaving your face slimy or greasy which is awesome for people who wear foundation.

Redken Anti-Snap Leave in Treatment - Oh how I love this product, not only because it smells like jesus but also because it is the only leave in conditioning treatments i have tried that doesnt leave your hair LIMP.  I use this everyday knowing that it will only make my hair look better, whether i am throwing it up in a clip or blowing it out. I am currently growing out my hair from a short bob and need to take extra precaution of my ends since they have a long way to go. I was definitely hesitant on this purchase because of the leave ins i have used before but I'm so happy you recommended this, I have found Love!

Luxy Hair Extensions - Well, as previously mentioned, my hair is lacking in the length department. Again, I have been so discouraged by hair extensions in the past due to the half ass attempts people like jessica simpson and paris hilton make to provide girls with fuller and longer looking hair. Luxy hair extensions are no joke. I was also hesitant on this purchase but after watching the video of the girl with short blonde hair, how could i not be convinced. I got the 160 gram set in color 60 which is the lightest, ash blonde that they have. Thier return policy is pretty strict and i was so worried I would open them and they wouldnt match and i wouldnt be able to return them. But since the girls who make them are awesome, they had one of the single clip extensions attatched seperately to the package so you could take it out, put it in your hair and see for yourself if its the right color. If not, no big deal, you can return them for an exchange or full refund with all of the other clips unopened. I put these in my hair and could not stop touching them. they were awesome. My hair doesnt even hit my shoulders yet, so when i put them in straight, it was a little obvious especially when i turned my head. I had a friend curl them for me and it made a huge difference, you could not see my real hair and i felt great in them. I went out later that night with my friends and two people i had never met before and until my friend CALLED ME OUT on having fake hair (Ugh!) they said they never would have guessed!

Moroccan Oil - AHH! what a breathe of fresh hair, i mean air. This ALSO smells like jesus. I use Moroccan Oil Light, which is for people with lighter hair. This is just pure nutrients and shine. If I shower at night I like to put it in my hair wet, but if I am blowing my hair out i always put it in after because of the serious shine it gives. Just a dime size is all you need, putting it mostly on the middle to the ends of your hair. Getting it too close to your roots may make your hair get greasier, faster. Every woman should have this stuff :)

Softsoap Coconut Scrub - I always switch up my body scrubs and this is the one i am likely to buy in the summer time because the beads help exfoliate my skin so i can get a deep and lasting tan. But who am I kidding, I buy it sometimes in the winter too to remind me of somewhere tropical, even if its just for the few minutes i'm using it.

Johnson & Johnson Melt Away the Stress Body Wash - I love this body wash. Its gentle and feels so smooth on your skin. The aromas in it help you to relax, so i love to use it at night. I ofcourse follow up with the matching lotion just because it smells so good. Pair it with freshly shaved legs, a heated blanket and bedtime, you'll feel like a million bucks!

EyeBright - This is the first product I bought recommended by Kristen, and the reason I kept on reading..and buying...reading...and buying. It's bit of a vicious cycle that doesnt look like its going to stop any time soon! I normally don't wear a lot of make up to work but whatever I am wearing, this is the mainly it! I apply it pretty thick on my eye lid and bottom lash line, then rub it in. Instantly i look more pleasant! Before this was recommended to me I use to use an eye shadow base cream from MAC. It wasnt as easy to blend in and I always wondered what was out there that would be more purposeful. I love to put this in the inner corner of my eyes, especially when I do them smokey, love the contrast.

HighBeam - I wanted to use this product but I didn't have time to look up Kristens instructions so I just put it all over my eye lid and underneath my brow. Turns out, it was a great high lighter. I havent experimented with HighBeam as much as I would like to, mostly because I am a creature of habbit when it comes to my eye make up. This is definetly going in the routine this weekend!

Erase Paste - I love this product! I have never used an under eye concealer until discovering this. It brightens up your eyes and makes you look awake.

Posie Tint - This is pretty awesome. Kiss-proof as Kristen said. I also love wearing a gloss over this because it doesnt have any shine to it, but it stays on for a long time!

*****Upon one of my trips to sephora, I went to purchase HighBeam and saw a kit with smaller sizes of many of the products Kristen had recommended. It consists of Posie-Tint, HighBeam, ErasePaste and one other thing that is awesome too, but slipping my memory. The box is called Finding Mr. Bright by benefit and i'm pretty sure its under $30. If you want to try these but dont want to purchase them all, this is a great way to do it!*****

MAC Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze - UHHH-MAZING. It has been 6 whole years since i have purchased a MAC bronzer for the same reasons Kristen stopped using them too. The sparkles! too much! I don't use any bronzers with sparkles in them because I am no longer in middle school. I NEVER thought MAC had a sparkle-free bronzer. They better keep making this, it is my soul mate bronzer.

NARS Laguna Bronzer - I have spent the last few years using Laguna, for a long time it was my go to but obviously the tables have turned a bit. I like Laguna...i do, but I only apply it to my cheek bones. I would advise to keep this away from your T-Zone. It can be a bit shimmery and can sometimes give off a greasy look, when your skin may not be greasy at all! As far as a highlight on your cheeks...its just perfect.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Line - What a savior. Totally worth the $75 i dropped at Lords and Ladies. I have nothing but good things to say about the shampoo and conditioner, but the real cherry on top is the Thickening Spray. Just like Kristen, I towel dry my hair as much as possible and then go wild with it. This spray separates the strands to create a fuller body of hair. It also gives my hair more texture which is important to me. Without products my hair tends to be very limp and fine, so i seriously depend on this line. It is much better than whatever i was using before and i thought that stuff did the trick. I am never nervous about the outcome of my hair when using this stuff. I try to limit the use of it only for the weekends because it does build up in your hair as Kristen mentioned in her post.

Coconut Body Butter - The Body Shop - This is most desired in the summer because its a tropical smell and the fact that its the only one of the body butters with a radiant shimmer to it. The funny part about that is that they only sell it for a limited time - in the WINTER...weird. I just got this last week and LOVE it. I wish it were summer so i could wear it on my arms :(. I also bought the coconut body scrub from the body shop and my legs have never felt softer. I could notice a difference in they way my legs looked and felt from the second i dried them with my towel. I'd say to get on this because no one wants gator legs.

So you heard it here that some of these products are AMAZING and a must try!  If you have purchased any products because I have recommended them please let me know!  A BIG thanks to Brittany for taking time out of her day to do this for me!

-Kristen
